The North Central Chamber of Commerce will be holding its yearly “Night of the Rising Stars” dinner at Crystal Lake Golf Club in Mapleville on May 21st, beginning with cocktails at 5:00 pm. Tickets are $50.

The event will be commemorating the Chamber’s 30th anniversary and several awards will be handed out. The evening will begin with cocktails and networking followed by dinner and the award presentations. Guest speaker for the event will be Jim Hummel. The awards being handed out are Ambassador of the Year, Community Service of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, and Small Business of the Year. Scholarships will also be handed out to several local area high school seniors.

“Circle of Friends” or sponsorships will be available for $85 and $150, with all sponsors to be mentioned in the program and given a ticket for the dinner. Sponsors can also take part in the mini-expo for $35. This will involve showcasing their products and services. The table might include catalogs, brochures, flyers, and other marketing materials, as well as product samples and other freebies.

The dinner will be an excellent networking opportunity. Chamber members from all over the area, including nearby Johnston, will be sure to arrange for a new business card printing order before attending so they don’t run out of cards to exchange. Those who attend can also learn from the examples of the award winners and gain some insight into what helps a business or individual to become successful.
