Apple harvest at the core of Rhode Island celebrations

The 25th annual Apple Festival will take place at Johnston Memorial Park from September 29 – 30. Admission is free.

The festival was originally started to celebrate the apple harvest and hands an annual apple pie competition. However, it has become more than that in recent years and features several activities for children and adults. In past years, the festival has featured pony rides, a wellness fair, cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts for sale, and musical entertainment. There is also a car show which takes place at the Apple Festival. This year, the car show will take place on September 29. It features awards for the top cars, raffles, giveaways and food concessions.

Organizers of the Johnston Apple Festival will no doubt be working with local printing companies to prepare for this popular event. Flyer printing and banner printing services will help to highlight the various parts of the event. The organizers would be wise to design and distribute flyers to market the festival in the community and in nearby communities. Flyers are inexpensive and can be distributed in various ways that need not add any cost, such as handed out on the street, delivered door to door, or left at community centers or public libraries. Banners can help to highlight the various parts of the festival and draw attention to sponsors.

This is shaping up to be an entertaining, family-friendly way to say goodbye to the summer and to prepare for the upcoming fall.
