Annual art show to paint picture of school programs

October 25, 2013 by

The 22nd annual Cornucopia Fine Arts and Crafts Sale is helping to support The Pennfield, School which caters to students from pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8, with an appearance in a couple of weeks’ time.

At least 60 arts and crafts vendors are expected to take part in this juried show. There is bound to be something for sale that will appeal to visitors, and it is a chance for them to buy unique, handmade items for their friends or family. Items expected to be sold are likely to include clothing, paintings, jewelry, and other decorative accessories. The Artists’ Palette Cafe will also be open so guests can enjoy a refreshment or two.

Prior to the sale, there will be a preview party for those who wish to get an early start on deciding what to buy. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer, and live musical entertainment.

It is likely that organizers of the show have been working with local printing companies to produce marketing materials. Flyers distributed throughout the area, including nearby Johnston, will help to spread the news and encourage more people to attend.

The Cornucopia Fine Arts and Crafts Sale is being held at The Pennfield School in Portsmouth on November 9 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Admission is $2. The preview party is set for the day before from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. To find out more about the show and the preview party, call 401-849-4646.
