Social media in the September spotlight

In an event free of charge to its member, the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce is holding a workshop entitled ‘Expand your business through social media engagement’ on September 20 from 8:30 am – 10:00 am.
The workshop, which is part of the Business Growth series, will be presented by Gina Rubel of Furia Rubel Communications and Det Ansinn of BrickSimple. Those who attend will learn what types of social media sites are important, why they should use social media, and how they can increase their business success by using such sites as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. They will no doubt learn which sites are the best for business and how to develop their own online presence.
Companies are finding out these days that having an online component to their marketing plans is becoming more and more important. Businesses from all over the country and the Central Bucks area, including nearby Warminster, are rushing to have an online presence.
Even so, there is no danger that offline services such as flyer printing will becoming obsolete in the near future, as flyers are still the most effective form of direct marketing. They are inexpensive, can be distributed in a number of ways, are versatile in what they can contain, and can be tracked easily. This can be backed up with online marketing, which must now be a part of every advertising campaign. All flyers, business cards, or brochures must include online addresses along with postal addresses. Companies that rely on both offline and online communications are likely to develop closer relationships with their customers.
