Business continues in Greater Pocono

Business events still happen during the summer, nowhere more so than in the local area, where two business-minded happenings are ready to roll next month.

Firstly, the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce’s monthly business card exchange is continuing through August. Both chamber members and non-members attend this social event to help increase their referral networks and to foster relationships with their business peers. Business people come from all over the area to take part in these exchanges, including nearby Stroudsburg, often arranging for a business card printing order in advance of attending so they will know that their contact information is current.

The next Business Card Exchange will take place on August 5 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at Alaska Pete’s Roadhouse Grill. Tickets are free for chamber members and $30 for non-members who want to build their network of peers.

Another popular monthly event of the Chamber of Commerce is the ‘Women in Business Luncheon’, and the August event will feature Trish Dunkelberger and Peg Zukawski. The pair will be giving a thorough discussion on how to portray an image. Again, the luncheon is a great networking opportunity for local business women and a place for digital business cards to be exchanged.

The luncheon will take place at Grace Park Seniors Living Well on August 13, beginning at 12:00 pm. Tickets are $30 for chamber members and $40 for non-members. Those who require more information about either event can call Miriam or Pat at 570-421-4433.
