Chamber of Commerce and Industry accepting nominations for 2013 awards

March 17, 2013 by

The Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry is currently accepting nominations for its 2013 awards.

Those currently accepting nominations are the Emerging Entrepreneurs Award and the Greater Reading Top Businesses Award. Both these distinctions will be handed out during the Chamber’s annual dinner gala in May. Nominees for both awards must be current chamber members.

The Emerging Entrepreneurs Award is given to companies whose revenue reaches over $250,000 but under $1m, and have seen revenue rise annually over at least three years. The Greater Reading Top Businesses Award goes to privately held businesses that have earned at least $1m in revenue. Proof of revenue must accompany the nomination, which can be made by anybody, including the owners of the business.

Those who attend the awards presentation will have the opportunity to network with some of the most successful businesses in the area, including those from Sinking Spring and other Pennsylvanian districts. With that in mind, many will be looking into placing a new business card printing order well in advance of May. They will want to ensure that they have enough cards to exchange with those they meet during the dinner and that those cards contain current information, not out-of-date or poorly presented details.

Nominations for both awards are due by March 29. For more information contact the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry at 610-898-7774. An exact date for the awards has yet to be confirmed, so those interested should stay tuned to the chamber’s website.
