Train and toy show on track for Greater Philadelphia appearance
November 30, 2013 by Sarah
The Greenburg Train and Toy Show, presented by the Train Show, is taking place in Oaks for two days this December.
The show will feature several large working model train layouts, a slot car racetrack, a train that kids and adults can ride, and door prizes. Two of the workshop topics that will be covered are ‘Digital Command Control Tutorial’ and ‘Building Easy Poly-Fibre Trees’.
There will also be more than 400 tables of trains for sale and at least 80 vendors. Some of the items offered for sale are expected to be rare and hard to find pieces that might just complete a treasured collection for someone. In addition to trains, there will be layout figures, buildings, repair kits, and electronics for sale.
This show should appeal to seasoned train collectors and to those who just like to watch model trains. It may also be the perfect place for shoppers to find a gift for the train collector on their list.
Train fans will likely descend on the show from all over the area, including Royersford. Organizers are probably advertising the show through items such as posters or flyers that might have been supplied by local printing companies.
The Greenburg Train and Toy Show is being held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center from December 14 to 15. Tickets are $8 for adults and admission is free for those aged 12 and under. To find out more about the show, call 630-279-4087.
