Spend A Fun Weekend With The Family
April 26, 2012 by Mark
The 28th annual Philadelphia International Children’s Festival will take place at the Annenberg Center at the University of Pennsylvania from May 3rd through to May 5th beginning at 10am each day. Tickets are $10 for each performance and include admission to the Fun Zone; there are discounts for ten tickets or more and for school groups. There is also a Children’s Festival Fun Pass for $25; this is only valid on May 5 and includes admission to three performances plus the Fun Zone.
The festival will consist of family friendly musical performances, children’s theatre and dance. The outdoor Fun Zone will feature children’s hand-on crafts activities, face painting, chalk drawing, jugglers, Middle Eastern drummer and entertainment. Featured entertainment includes “Tomorrow’s Music Stars…Today!” and “Circo Comedia.”
This will be a great family event for those from all over the Philadelphia area including nearby Royersford; the perfect short road trip. The kids will probably be very happy to leave their video games and computers at home for a day of fun with their parents.
Local printing companies will most likely be providing the event tickets and the Fun Pass to the organizers of this popular yearly event.
It’s often hard to find family-friendly entertainment that isn’t overly expensive. This is a very inexpensive festival where everyone can let their hair down and not have to worry about being cultured and being on their best behaviour. Kids and parents alike can get down and dirty with crafts and chalk drawing.
