Steel City Con sure to be a Plum draw

The Steel City Con is coming back to Pittsburgh for three days in just a couple of weeks’ time.

Also taking the alternative name ‘The Pittsburgh Toy, Comic and Childhood Collectibles Show’, the show will feature many celebrity guests, 500 dealers’ tables, comic book artists, and a variety of fun activities. Celebrities who are scheduled to appear include David Prowse of Star Wars, Kevin Sorbo of Hercules and Andromeda, Dawn Wells of Gilligan’s Island, and Madison Lintz of the Walking Dead. Wrestling legend The Honky Tonk Man will also be appearing, and guests can have their pictures taken with various Star Wars characters, including R2D2.

Dealers’ tables can be rented for $119 for all three days, and a wide range of collectables is sure to be up for grabs, including toys, action figures, and die-cast cars. Dealers will no doubt come from all over the area, including nearby plum, to sell their wares at the show. Many of them will probably be working with their local print companies to get ready for the show. This might include investing in banner printing, sign printing, or poster printing services.

The 23rd annual Steel City Con will take place at the Monroeville Convention Center from April 5 – 7. Tickets are $15 per day or $25 for a three-day pass, with everybody who takes up the latter option online receiving a free goodie bag.
