Short trip to celebrate Milltown Day on the horizon

September 23, 2012 by

The 15th annual Milltown Day celebration will take place at Borough Park in about a fortnight. There will be plenty of activities in which to take part during the day, including a community fair, an art and craft fair, and a business expo.

The arts and crafts fair will be offering handmade and unique items for sale, the community fair will feature information from local organizations and government services, and the business expo will help to showcase local companies. There will also be lots of activities for the children such as face painting, a pet show, a giant slide, and skee-ball. Other activities will include a blood drive, a child ID drive, a county document shredding truck for those who do not have a shredder, and a morning clean-up. This will be a community festival in every sense of the phrase.

Artists and businesses from all over the area, such as nearby Plum, will no doubt be taking part in Milltown Day. Local printing companies are probably being asked to provide services such as banner printing and flyer printing to help them prepare. This will be an excellent opportunity for emerging artists and business owners to introduce themselves to the community, with sponsorships also available to local businesses.

It all takes place on October 6 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. This is a free event presented by the Milltown Revitalization Committee. For more information, the best thing to do might be to visit the event’s website and drop the organizers an email.
