Norwin Chamber of Commerce all set for a May feast
April 28, 2013 by Mark
The Norwin Chamber of Commerce is presenting the Penn-Trafford Excellence in Education luncheon next month, while also hosting a barbeque for chamber members on the same night.
The luncheon will honor the top 5% of students in the area. Sponsors from the business community will be paying for the student’s lunches and for the gifts they will also receive. It is a great way to celebrate those students who have worked hard to be successful, and events like this never fail to entice whole families to make an appearance and take part in this celebration of excellence.
Businesses from all over the area, including nearby Plum, will be interested in sponsoring students so they can enjoy the luncheon. Many might also be working with local printing companies to let their customers know about the event and to let the community know the names of the students who are to be celebrated, perhaps via catalog printing.
After the luncheon, chamber members from all over the area are invited to the 6th annual Chamber Barbecue. Admission is free but members must RSVP by May 16.
The Penn-Trafford Excellence in Education luncheon will take place on May 20 at the Stratigo Banquet Center in North Huntington from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. Sponsorships are $75. The Norwin Chamber of Commerce barbecue will take place on the same day at Oak Hollow Park from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm. For more information on either of these events, contact the chamber at 724-863-0888.
