Luncheon offers tips to women on building a business

The Business Expo and Luncheon is taking place this November in Plum. It is a presentation of the Plum Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Leadership committee.

Linda Barnicott, a working artist, will be talking about ‘The art of building a business’. No doubt there will be many tips for women and men who have just recently opened a new business or are planning on making their current business larger. Local companies that are members of the chamber can also rent exhibitor space for $75 to showcase their current products or describe their newest services. It looks set to be an excellent networking event for small businesses in the area, especially those owned and run by women.

Many of the business leaders who plan to attend will likely be planning on ordering a new business card printing order in advance of attending this Plum chamber event. There will be a wealth of chances to exchange cards with business peers before and after the lunch, and to briefly discuss business. Exhibitors will probably also be providing both traditional and digital business cards so that those interested in their products or services can contact them at a later time.

The Women in Leadership Business Expo and Luncheon will be held at the Comfort Inn and Conference Center on November 15 from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm. Admission is $25 for chamber members. Those who are planning to attend must respond by next Monday, November 4. For more information, call 412-856-0622.
