Kids to find a crafty way to embrace Valentine’s Day
January 29, 2013 by Sarah
Next month’s ‘Afternoon Adventures for Crafty Kids’ will focus on Valentine Day crafts and offer children between the ages 6 and 12 an enjoyable time, although all siblings are welcome to join in the fun.
This is a great parent-child afternoon and a chance to share quality time having fun and making unique creations. Poster printing was most likely used to promote this exciting special event to families in this area.
During this afternoon adventure, children will make custom-handmade Valentine Day cards, a selection of Monster Valentine sticker sheets, and a fun heart-shaped wreath, plus will enjoy making other creative pictures and objects with crafts. There will be some short Valentine’s Day DVDs for the children to watch, as well as coloring sheets to do once crafts are completed.
This program is open to the public and Valentine snacks are provided for all. Registration is recommended. Parents are reminded to bring their cameras and get some great shots of the children having a great time. This event is open to families and grandparents are welcome to attend as well.
Admission is free for all and the public is welcome to attend. The next adventurous afternoon will be on Thursday, February 7, beginning at 3:15 pm and ending around 4:30 pm at the Oakmont Carnegie Library located on Allegheny River Blvd. in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, just down the road from Plum. For additional information, or to reserve a spot, please visit the Oakmont Carnegie Library website or call the librarian at 412-828-9532 during normal library hours.
