Have fun at the Winter Frolic

January 20, 2012 by

The Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce is presenting the Winter Frolic at the Westmoreland County Courthouse on January 28 from 6-9 pm. Tickets are $70 for Chamber members and $80 for non-members. Cocktail attire is suggested and kilts are encouraged.

The 4th annual Winter Frolic: Celebrating our Celtic heritage is hosted by the Westmoreland County Historical Society. It will feature the music of the Celtic rock band na Gales, Irish folk dancing, bagpipes, step-dancing demonstrations from the Daehler Sisters and folk dancing lessons from the Three Rivers Crossroads Celti Studio. Scottish and Irish hors d’oeuvres will be served and there will be a cash bar. In addition, there will be a vintage photography display and a basket auction. All proceeds will go towards supporting the educational programs of the Historical Society.

Westmoreland printing companies, including those in Plum, have no doubt been busy printing the invitations to this event which will be mailed out to members. They also have most likely helped to provide many of the decorations for the venue.

In addition to being a fun social event, attending the Winter Frolic will also allow you to meet several of your business peers. While there will be no hard sell at this fun social event, it will not be frowned upon if you hand a business card to those you meet who you feel can help your business or whose business you can help. Business can come out of every occasion in which you can meet and socialize with local Chamber members.
