Enjoy a family fun day in Plum

The Plum Borough Rotary Club is presenting the Plum Community Festival at Larry Mills Park from July 26-28. Admission is free and over 11,000 are expected to attend over the three days.

The festival will feature games, children’s activities such as bounce houses, live musical entertainment, lots of food, prizes and a fireworks display. There will also be vendors representing various community organizations, corporations, artists and crafters. Vendors can rent 10×10 booths; categories include community awareness, crafters and artists, commercial or corporate awareness, non-profit vendors and food vendors. Prices range from $75 for a crafters booth to $350 for a commercial or for-profit food vendor. Many local artists and crafters will jump at the opportunity to showcase and offer for sale their latest works for such a small investment. Also, community organizations will appreciate the chance to explain to the community what they have to offer and how the community can help them.

Sponsorships are also available from $100-$2,500. Sponsors receive various recognition depending on the level of sponsorship including their company name on signs and banners throughout the event or advertisements on the local cable television station. Plum printing companies will no doubt be helping the organizers of the event by providing sign and banner printing services.

The Plum Community Festival is a good opportunity for local companies and organizations to introduce themselves to the community and to showcase what they have to offer. It will also be a great way to spend a weekend with the family and enjoy free outdoor entertainment. No one wants to spend their summer weekends indoors.
