Business options aplenty in Plum
October 31, 2012 by Sarah
The Plum Chamber of Commerce clearly means business in November, with a variety of possible networking events coming up.
First up are the Early Bird Business Builder meetings, which take place on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Each meeting takes place from 7:45 pm – 8:45 pm at Clover Commons. They feature a guest speaker and serve coffee and doughnuts. The next two meetings will take place on November 14 and November 28. Admission is free for chamber members and guests.
The main purpose of the Business Builder is to network with fellow chamber members and business peers. The meetings are touted as a smaller type of networking event and a place to practice an ‘elevator speech’. No doubt, Plum businesspeople who will be attending these meetings will arrange for business card printing in advance. They will want to ensure that their contact information is current, that their cards are in great shape, and that they have enough to hand out to everyone who is interested.
Taking place in-between those two meetings is the Membership Committee Meeting on November 20. As well as providing a meeting place for existing chamber members, the meeting also welcomes people who want to find out more about how they can get involved with their chamber. Taking place from 11:45 am – 1:00 pm at 795 Pine Valley Drive, it will be another occasion to have digital business cards at the ready.
With details yet to be confirmed of the Monthly After Hours meeting due on November 15, there are many reasons for business minds to be keeping an eye on the Chamber of Commerce website.
