Upcoming golf tournament just one part of being a chamber member

May 31, 2013 by

The Chamber of the Pittsburgh Airport Area are holding its 39th annual golf outing this June in Midway.

The golf outing, which is only a week away, is just one of the member events held every month at The Chamber. The tournament fees involve golf fees, lunch and prizes. There will be plenty of opportunities for members to talk about their businesses and to exchange business cards with their peers. No doubt, many of those planning to attend this Pittsburgh area event will be placing a new business card order in advance, since the leisurely nature of golf makes it a good opportunity for business networking.

Other events held by the Chamber include monthly mixers, breakfast briefings on such topics as the “Economic impact of Marcellus (and Utica) shale on our region,” educational seminars and business expos where members can showcase their products and/or services. All of these events come down to giving members the opportunity to meet one another, learn about one another’s businesses, and develop many skills that will stand them in good stead in the future – not just on the golf course.

The 39th annual golf outing will take place at the Quicksilver Golf Club in Midway on June 7. Fees are $195 per person or $45 for lunch only. The event is also on the lookout for local businesses to sponsor it, with a range of packages available. For more information, contact Michell Kreutzer at 412-264-6270.
