Treat the kids to the Reindeer Ball
November 22, 2012 by Mark
Most fundraising events are aimed solely at adults, even if they are raising funds for an organization that helps children. The Pittsburgh Mercy Health System’s Reindeer Ball is different. It is one of the few fundraisers that provides entertainment, activities, and food, all of which appeal to children. It is also a fun holiday celebration that families can share with one another.
The theme of this year’s Ball is “A Winter Wonderland” and it will feature dancing with characters such as Curious George, Clifford, Frog and Toad, and Lars the Polar Bear. There will also be face painting, balloon artists, holiday cookies to decorate, craft projects to create, caricature artists, and a kid-friendly buffet. All proceeds from the event will go to support A Child’s Place at Mercy, which provides services for abused and neglected children and those in the foster care system.
No doubt organizers of this event will be working with Pittsburgh printing companies to advertise this unique annual fundraising event. They could design and print a flyer which would encourage more families to attend. The flyer can then be distributed through direct mail, door-to-door, or can be distributed to various shopping malls and other public buildings in the city.
The 9th annual Reindeer Ball of the Pittsburgh Mercy Health System will take place at the Westin Convention Center Hotel on December 2 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Tickets are $80 for adults and $45 for children. For more information call 412-578-6675.
