Rainbow Gala will raise funds for the JDRF

March 21, 2013 by

The JDRF, formerly known as the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, will be holding its 21st annual Rainbow Gala in Pittsburgh this April.

The evening will consist of cocktails, dinner, dancing, a live auction, and a silent auction. The entire proceeds will go to the JDRF of Western Pennsylvania to fund research and provide services for those suffering from the condition.

The past president of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the JDRF, Maureen Breen Baruna, will be honored during the gala. It should be a very enjoyable night for all involved and the funds raised will go a long way in supporting a worthwhile organization.

Local businesses and individuals are welcome to donate items for the live and silent auctions. All items will be listed in the gala auction book which will be mailed out to all guests, and will also be listed on the JDRF website. The company or person’s name will be mentioned next to the item they have donated. No doubt Pittsburgh brochure printers will be called upon to help design and print this book, which will not only serve as a catalog of all items available, but also as a collectible souvenir of the evening.

The JDRF Rainbow Gala will take place at the Westin Convention Center Hotel on April 20 beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $375 each and will be on sale until April 13. Those requiring more information are welcome to call MC Houser at 412-471-414×7.
