Pittsburgh will celebrate Earth Day with several events

Earth Day is a nationwide event that takes place every year in and around April 22. The city of Pittsburgh has three days of events planned for this Earth Day.

The first event is the Ecolution Fashion Show which will be held on April 20 at the Fairmont Hotel. The theme for this year will be “constellations.” Those who purchase tickets for a VIP reception will be served appetizers and cocktails while they enjoy the music of DJ Soy Sos and entertainment from the Staycee Pearl Dance Project.

The next day will feature the annual Earth Day press conference and sustainability business breakfast from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

That same day is the beginning of the two-day Paint the Square Green festival at Market Square. This will feature lunchtime bluegrass concerts and the Solar Powered Food Truck Festival. Vendors representing environmentally friendly products will be on hand; in addition, non-profit organizations will be providing information about their programs and services.

Events like this are often advertised with the help of Pittsburgh printing companies who may be asked to provide flyers or brochures.

The Paint the Square Green festival will be held at Market Square from April 21 to 22 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To learn more about planned events, visit the official website.
