Learn to develop leadership skills

The first in a series of leadership networking seminars presented by the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber will take play at the Ryan Event Center on May 24th from 7:30 to 9:00 am. There will be many opportunities for those attending to network with one another.

The seminar will feature a continental breakfast, a tour of the Ryan Center and a presentation. The keynote address of the event will be delivered by Patty Kreamer, author of the book “But I might need it someday” and coauthor of “Success Simplified”. The seminar will seek to teach those who attend about how to concentrate on the important issues in order to become a better leader; this is called simplified leadership and it uses tips from “Success simplified.”

Business professionals in the Pittsburgh area, especially those who seem to have difficulty with leadership, would be advised to attend. They should also make sure to bring along a business card. Printing a few extras to hand out would be the wise thing to do; a lot of business takes place at chamber networking events and no one wants to run out of cards. It is suggested that along with making sure to have enough business cards, that business professionals have an elevator speech prepared; that is a 30 second speech in which they lay out exactly what they can do for others in their referral network.

Hopefully, those who attend this seminar come out will all the tools they require to become better leaders and as a result have happier and more focused employees.
