Help to Support the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh
April 25, 2012 by James
The 30th annual YWCA Greater Pittsburgh Tribute to Women Leadership Awards Luncheon will take place at the Westin Hotel on May 16 from 12-1:30 pm. Tickets are $70 or $1,000 for a table of 10. Proceeds go to support YWCA programs.
There will be a silent auction and raffle which will take place just before the luncheon beginning at 11 am. The host will be Jennifer Abney of WPX1. The event pays tribute to eight women in the categories of Arts and Culture, Business and Industry, Civic and Community Service, Education, Entrepreneur, Health and Human Services, Professional Services and Young Leader.
There are three levels of sponsorship available: Trailblazer for $2,500, Achievement for $6,000 and Empowerment for $12,500. Each level of sponsorship includes recognition at the event, preferred or priority seating, a listing on the YWCA website and advertisements in the program booklet. The two higher levels include having the company logo electronically displayed at the event and a link to the company website. Pittsburgh brochure printers will most likely be providing the program booklet for the event.
Events such as this, while not only for women, help to give women in the community a sense of pride in their fellow females. Most volunteers and business leaders do not strive to win awards; they want to have pride in what they do and to help to improve the community in which they work and live. By hearing their stories, other business leaders will feel inspired to follow their path.
