Fundraiser benefits diabetes research

The 25th annual JDRF Promise Gala is taking place next month in Pittsburgh, raising funds for the JDRF of Western Pennsylvania.

The evening will start off with a cocktail and networking reception and a silent auction. It will then be followed by dinner and an open bar. There will also be a program that will recognize some of those who have contributed to the success of the organization.

Later on in the evening, there will be dancing and musical entertainment will be provided by the Elite Show Band. Guests are encouraged to dress in black tie.

Sponsorships can be purchased for $7,500 up to $50,000. Donations are also being accepted for the live and silent auctions from local businesses and individuals.

The JDRF of Western Pennsylvania is dedicated to funding type 1 diabetes research and looking for a cure.

It is likely that invitations will be sent out to those in Pittsburgh who have supported the JDRF in the past. Printed invitations are usually provided by local stationery printing companies and are often directly mailed out to a list of recipients.

The JDRF Promise Gala will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on March 18 beginning at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $425 each or $5,000 for a table of 10, and the deadline to register is March 1. Contact Lara Daly at 412-258-1317 to learn more.
