Residents get a sneak peek of Philadelphia flower show

The Philadelphia International Flower Show is coming up at the beginning of March. The show is a presentation of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS). Those who can’t wait will have two opportunities to get a sneak preview.

The first preview is for members of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Guests will enjoy a networking reception at the Center for Agriculture and then can head over to the show where they will receive guided tours of the exhibits. They will also be able to learn about volunteer opportunities from member of the Arts and Business Council.

Another preview event, which is hosted by the PHS and open to the general public, is taking place on February 28. It will begin at the Barnes Foundation where guests can enjoy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar.

Proceeds from this event go to help various local charities such as the PHS City Harvest. Sponsorships are also available from $200 to $10,000.

Both of these previews will most likely be widely advertised in the Philadelphia area. Local printing companies are often contacts to provide materials to let the public know about upcoming events such as these.

The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s preview event will take place on February 17 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM. Tickets are $75 each. Contact Catherine Sontag at 215-790-3618 for more information.

The PHS preview party will be held on February 28 beginning at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $100 each and attire is black tie. To learn more about this event call Ellen Wheeler at 215-988-8830.
