Philadelphia festival makes its fifth yearly appearance
July 30, 2013 by Mark
Summer is not over yet in Philadephia, and there are plenty more events to come in August. One of this is the 5th annual 2nd Street Festival, which will take place this weekend.
The festival takes place on North 2nd Street between Germantown Avenue and Spring Garden, and locals are made aware that the road is closed to through traffic. The festival will feature a wide variety of activities to take in which to take part, including beer gardens, arts and crafts, workshops, food, music, and over 100 vendors.
The musical performances, which take place on four stages, were programmed by the Philadelphia Folksong Society. Performers will include Bailey Hounds, Weird Hot, the Ensemble Novo, Philly School of Rock, and DJ DNA.
There will also be family-friendly activities, carnival games and a variety of food trucks. VIP tickets are available which provides optimum viewing of performances, food, drinks and a gift bag.
Vendors will be selling a variety of items, including arts and crafts, and commercial products. No doubt many of them who are taking part have been working some of Philadelphia’s printing companies to prepare; this might include investing in sign and banner printings services to draw attention to their booths.
The 2nd Street Festival will take place on August 4 from 12:00 pm – 10:00 PM. VIP tickets are $100 each or $170 for two, but general admission to the festival is free. For more information about the event, visit the official website.
