Philadelphia Chamber prepares for year 213

September 30, 2013 by

The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) is holding its 213th annual meeting this October, and both Chamber members and non-members are invited to attend

The event will feature special guest Scott Pelley, the CBS Evening News anchor man, who will be a speaker on the day. The Chamber’s new board of directors will also be announced by Chairman Daniel K. Fitzpatrick. Members can enter a photo contest by sending in pictures of their businesses in advance for consideration, with winners to be announced at the event.

Chamber members will also have the opportunity to showcase their business as a tabletop display. Six-foot tables cost $650 and the businesses will be listed in the meeting’s agenda. Those who rent tables will no doubt be providing informative literature and free promotional items to those who stop by their tables.

The day looks like to be a perfect networking opportunity for Philadelphia businessperson. Many will likely be ordering a new business card printing order in advance to ensure they have enough cards to hand out to everyone they meet. There will be plenty of time between announcements and speeches to speak a little about business and to exchange cards.

The GPCC annual meeting will take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on October 10 from 7:30 am – 9:30 am. Tickets are $70 each for Chamber members or $700 for a table of 10 and $140 for non-members or $1,400 for 10; YPN members pay $60. To find out more about the morning’s agenda, call 215-545-1234.
