Learn how to be more successful in the workplace

The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce holds an annual ‘Women in the Workplace’ workshop which consists of panel discussions with successful women in business. This year’s workshop is coming up fast, so it is a good time for businesswomen in the area to consider making plans to attend.

These workshops are an opportunity for businesswomen to network with their fellow business peers, to be mentored by women who have successful business careers, and to learn about ways of creating their personal brand.

This year’s workshop will feature a panel made up of Ramla Benaisa of Ramla Benaissa Architects, Patricia Coulter of the Urban League of Philadelphia, Liz Murphy of PECO Energy Corporation, and Sandy Way of Sprout. The panel will be moderated by Tamala Edwards from 6ABC. After the panel discussion, the four panelists will rotate among several small groups for questions and answers, one-on-one advice, and tips on how women in business can successfully reach their goals.

Exhibit tables will be available for chamber members for $300, allowing them to highlight their products and services and to help their company name become known to their fellow Philadelphia businesswomen. It is likely that many of those exhibitors will be investing in a new business card printing order in advance so they can display those cards on their tables or exchange cards with their peers.

The 7th annual Women in the Workplace workshop will take place at the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel on December 14 from 7:30 am – 10:30 am. Tickets are $45 for chamber members, $90 for non-members, and $40 for Young Professionals Network members. For more information, call 215-545-1234.
