Several art events on the palette in Westmorland County

Westmorland County will be a good place to visit this June for those people looking for arts and crafts. At least three events are taking place that will introduce the public to some of the outstanding art available in the area.

The Splendor of Spring Gift and Craft Expo will take place for three days this June in Greensburg, and will feature a wide variety of arts and crafts for sale as well, as commercial vendors. It might be a good place to pick up an original, handmade Father’s Day gift.

At about the same time, the 2013 Ethnic Festival and Spring Craft Show is taking place in Irwin. This annual festival usually takes up three blocks of the city and features food, music, and arts and crafts.

The first of three Art and Jazz Nites will occur in Irwin this June as well. It will feature several performances by well-known jazz artists, and local stores opening up their doors to visitors.

Visitors from all over the area, including North Versailles, will probably want to attend one of more of these art events. Local print companies have likely been called upon to help advertise the events throughout the community.

Splendor of Spring is taking place at Westmoreland Mall from June 7 – 9. For more information call 412-415-3584. The Ethnic Festival and Spring Craft Show will take place on June 8 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and is free to attend, while Art and Jazz Nites take place on June 20, July 18, and August 15.
