Pittsburgh promotes its art shopping options

The holidays are rapidly coming upon us and many people are trying to decide what to buy for their friends and family. Local art and craft shows are often the perfect place to find one-of-a-kind items and two such shows will be taking place in the Pittsburgh area, beginning in early November.

First of all, the 7th annual ‘Art under Glass’ show will take place at the Bedner’s Farm and Greenhouse every Saturday and Sunday from November 3 right through until January 26, 2013. In addition to various seasonal activities, there will be plenty of vendors selling their artwork, musical entertainment, face painting for children, art classes, and wine tasting. For more information, call 724-926-2541.

The weekend after, the 4th annual ‘Kinspiration Art Trunk Show’ will get underway at the Beechwood Farm Nature Preserve from November 10 – 11. Admission is free and, in addition to door prizes, refreshments will be served. The type of items that will be for sale will include photographs, jewelry, and art glass. For more information, call 412-820-0256 during business hours.

These shows will no doubt draw people from nearby communities, such as North Versailles. Organizers are likely to be working with local printing companies to provide flyers to distribute throughout Pennsylvania. Being affordable and easy to distribute, flyers are often used to promote events like these.

Both of these events, seeing as they are artistic and individual, are sure to offer something that will be the perfect gift for a family member or a friend.
