Get wise on health in North Versailles

The Spring into Life Health Fair will take place at the North Versailles Community Centre on May 29 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Sponsored by a range of local health-related organizations, this is a free event and refreshments will be served.

The health fair is sponsored by several area medical and long-term care facilities in the area. The fair will feature free health screening for such matters as blood pressure, bone density, vision, body fat, pulse oximetry, and pulmonary function. There will also be information on medical conditions which are more frequent in older adults and ways to deal with them effectively. It is most likely that North Versailles printing companies and brochure printers will be providing literature on those conditions to the organizers of the event. Those who attend events such as these love to pick up some freebies and a brochure or flyer will be easy to carry around with them.

The fastest growing demographic in the United States are seniors and with that fact comes a larger number of people suffering from age-related health problems and more pressure on the health care system to provide adequate care to all of those who need it. The best way to cut down on that pressure is for people to take control of their own health and learn what they can do to prevent the necessity of hospital care. Events such as this help to educate the public on the conditions that most affect older Americans and how to avoid problems in the future.
