Newtown Business Association presents its annual car show

June 19, 2017 by

The Newtown Business Association will be holding its annual Newtown Antique & Classic Auto Show in July. Over 7,000 car enthusiasts are expected to attend.

Auto entries will be from 1900 to 1992. Over 160 cars including trucks, classics, special interest and modified/customs will be on exhibit.

The Marque for this year will be the Shelby. Models up to 1992 will be shown. The exception will be the Cobra replicas that were made after that year because they were designed to resemble those 1960 era models.

This year a panel of impartial, trained judges will rate entries based on a set of guidelines. Trophies will be awarded to winners in 12 categories. Top prizes of $175 will go to overall winners in the European, Asian and American divisions. A prize of $150 will be awarded to the first-place special marque winner.

Show participants will receive special gifts and be entered in the hourly raffle prize drawings.
Businesses donating items for the raffle will get recognition on flyers that will be passed out at the show. They will also get verbal recognition.

The Newtown Business Association Antique and Classic Car Show 2017 will be held on July 9th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on State Street here in Historic Newton. Admission will be free. Rain date will be July 16th.
