Golf tournament raises funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters

With the warm weather returning, many communities in Pennsylvania and elsewhere are hosting golf tournament. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County is holding its Golf fore Kids’ Sake tournament this June in Ivyland.

This annual tournament helps to raise funds to support the programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Everyone who takes part in the tournament will receive a gift. Fees will include green fees, a golf cart, lunch, refreshments on the course, contests, giveaways, a cocktail reception, dinner, awards and a silent auction. There will also be a special lottery draw in which the prize is $3,000 in cash or in a travel gift certificate. It should be a great event to help those golfers get back into the sport after a long winter and to get back in touch with their Bucks County business peers.

Sponsorships are available such as hole sponsor for $20 or refreshment cart sponsor for $1,000. No doubt local businesspersons from the area, including nearby Morrisville, will be donating items for the auction. Organizers of the tournament are likely investing in services from local printing companies such as sign and banner printing.

Golf fore Kids’ Sake will take place at Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland on June 17 from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Fees are $250 for an individual golfer or $1,000 for a foursome; dinner and cocktails only is $100 per person. Lottery tickets are $50 each. Contact Sue Gelb at 215-343-8260 x110 for more information.
