Taste of Media to come to State Street

September 15, 2012 by

The 32nd annual Media Food and Crafts Festival will is due to take place on State Street. The festival is traditionally held on the first Sunday of October. Admission is free and State Street will be closed to traffic on the day.

The festival will feature food from local and area restaurants, arts and crafts vendors, musical entertainment, and children’s activities. The stores of State Street will also be opening their doors and might well be offering special deals during the festival. It will be an excellent opportunity for those in Media to start thinking about shopping for the holidays, which are coming up rapidly. Arts and crafts vendors will be selling unique and handmade one-of-a-kind items, so everyone should be able to find something for a friend or family member with them or in the local stores.

Stores that are taking part in the festival will more than likely be working with Media printing companies to prepare. If they are offering special sales on the day of the festival, they might choose to design and print a flyer stating this. The store might also want to hang a large banner over the front of the store listing any special offers.

This year’s event will take place on October 7 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. In the event of rain, the festival will be rearranged for October 14. In previous years, the event has pulled in as many as 8,000 visitors, so it will be well worth a visit.
