Support the Stratford Friends School

The 23rd annual Stratford Friends Auction presented by the Parent’s Association will take place at Paxon Hollow Country Club on March 9 from 6:30-10 pm. Auction tickets are $50 and you can also “sponsor a teacher” for $50.
The theme of this year’s auction is “Bringing Friends Together.” The evening will feature silent and live auctions; proceeds go to support the Stratford Friends School. Stratford Friends is an alternative school for “elementary and middle school-ate students with language-based and similar learning differences.”
Donations are being accepted from local Media and area businesses and individuals for the auctions; items donated should be between $50 and $1000. Those companies who donate could also arrange with local printing companies to design a brochure or flyer about the event; mentioning this event will increase the respect customers and potential customers have for your business and it might also convince those who read the flyer to donate an item themselves.
There are so many cutbacks in education that it is often hard to ensure that a child will get a decent education. On top of that, many children do not fit in with the current set up of schools and find that they cannot learn adequately. This could be because of things like language differences or emotional makeup. Schools such as the Stratford Friends work with children individually to ensure educational success. Part of the funds raised at this event will go to support the school’s financial aid program so that no no one who qualifies for admission is left out.
