State Street in Downtown Media is host to many events during the year, and two such annual events will be taking place in the city next month that will likely appeal to people of all ages.
The first event to take place on State Street this October will be the 33rd Media Food and Crafts Festival. It is a presentation of the Media Business Authority and attracts approximately 8,000 visitors to downtown Media each year. The festival will feature food from local restaurants, arts and crafts vendors, and sidewalk sales hosted by local stores. There will also be live street entertainment, children’s activities, and musical performances. There will no doubt be something to entertain every member of the family.
Also, the 49th annual Delaware County Halloween Parade will take place on State Street later in the month. This event is also rather popular with people from all over the area, and will feature marching bands, costumed characters, antique cars, floats, and community organizations. All residents are encouraged to apply to take part in the parade.
Media printing companies will likely be asked to provide products such as banners to those taking part in the parade.
The Media Food and Crafts Festival will take place on October 6 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, and the rain date is October 13. Admission is free. For more information call the Media Business Authority at 610-566-5039.
The Delaware County Halloween Parade will take place on October 26, with a rain date of October 27.
