Get wise on the economy

The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce is holding an Economic Breakfast at Springfield Country Club on July 24 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am. Tickets are $35 for chamber members and $70 for non-members.

The guest speaker at the breakfast will be Luke Tilley of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. He will be looking back at the past 18 months of the economy and discussing what might come in the next 18 months. Topics of discussion during the breakfast will include employment prospects, the GDP, housing, constructions, the Federal Reserve, and the financial markets. Small business owners will hopefully learn how they can survive and even prosper in today’s economy.

This will also be an excellent networking opportunity for Delaware County members, including nearby Media. Those who plan to attend may wish to consider putting in a new business card printing order beforehand, as they will want to ensure that there are plenty of cards to hand out everyone they meet at the breakfast. Business cards should always be kept up-to-date and the ones handed out should not have any smudges, folds, or creases, as this does not look professional. A new business card printing order is definitely necessary at least once a year to ensure that they are in pristine condition and detail any company changes.

There may also be a question-and-answer session at the end of the breakfast, where local business leaders might want to ask specific questions about their industry and how it could be affected by the economy.
