Celebrate Christmas at the Farm in Media

November 11, 2012 by

Christmas at the Farm will take place at the Colonial Plantation in Ridley Creek State Park in just under a month’s time, where visitors will get to see the decorated farmhouse and spend time with some of the farm animals.

There will also be tea tasting, wassailing in the orchard, textiles, woodworking, long rifle demonstrations, and a sale in the Plantation Store. Figures such as the ‘Farmer and Farmer’s Wife’ and ‘Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation Carolers’ will also be available for sale. Santa Claus will also be in attendance throughout the day.

This event will also be the last day that the public can visit the Plantation this year. It will be a great way to introduce the children to an old-fashioned Christmas celebration and for them to learn what life was like in the Colonial days of 1760 to 1790. Those who work at the Plantation dress in Colonial clothing and do their jobs the way in which they were done during that era. It will also be a great opportunity to pick up unique items to give to friends and families over the holidays.

In all likelihood, the organizers of the event will rely heavily on the services of Media printing companies to help them let the community know about this popular event. A flyer can easily be distributed throughout the area by direct mail or door-to-door delivery.

The event will take place on December 8 from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults or $8 for children aged 4 – 12. For more information, call 610-566-1725.
