Business Expo celebrates change of season in Delaware County

March 17, 2013 by

The Celebrate Spring Business Expo is coming up very shortly and is a presentation of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.

The expo will feature a full day’s worth of activities, starting with the business expo and networking opportunities. Exhibitors can rent an eight-foot booth for $200 or $250, depending on whether or not they need electricity. They can also compete for the ‘Best Decorated Spring Themed Booths’ award.

With businesses coming in from all over the area, probably including Media, many of them are bound to be working with local printing companies to make their booths look better than the competition’s. A colorful banner with a spring theme, or a large sign featuring spring colors, might just be enough to make them serious contenders.

Several business awards will be given out during the luncheon. These include the Small Business Person, Small Business, Small Family Business, and Charitable or Non-Profit Organization awards. The keynote speaker during lunch will be Ed Herr of Herr Foods.

After lunch, the business expo will continue. Authors like Denny Somach and Annmarie Kelly will be on hand to autograph copies of their books. Chamber members can also treat it as an ‘after hours’ networking opportunity.

The Celebrate Spring Business Expo will take place at the Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center on April 3 from 10:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Admission is free. Lunch will take place from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Tickets are $45 for chamber members or $75 for non-members. For more information, call 610-565-3677.
