Art and music to take over the streets of Media

With the warmer weather here in most places, those who just want to get outside and rediscover their community will be in luck this June, as Media holds two events to get people out and strolling through the city.

The State Street Blues Stroll is a part of the America’s Music Festival Series taking place throughout the year in Media. Over 20 venues will be taking part in presenting some of the best blues artists around today, such as the Don Evans Band, Sister Blue Duo, and the Lonnie Shields Band. This year’s stroll is dedicated to ‘the women of the Blues’.

The Media Arts Stroll takes place along State Street on the second Saturday of each month, and will coincide with the Blues Stroll in June. It features musical performances, artists selling their wares, and open houses from various shops, galleries, and cafes. It is a wonderful opportunity to discover the wide variety of artists who are currently working in the area. It is also a good chance to pick up a unique work of art for the home.

Organizers are likely to be availing themselves of the services of Media print companies to help get the word out about both of these events.

The June Media Arts Stroll will take place on June 8 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, while the 13th annual State Street Blues Stroll will take place in various venues from 5:00 pm – 1:00 am. Passes are $20, which includes a concert by Paul Rishell and Anne Raines.
