Pennsylvanians to party with polka

Polkafest will take place at the Yoney Pavilion in Canonsburg Town Park on August 26 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. This is a free event suitable for the entire family.

The event will feature two polka bands, SNPJ International Buttonbox and the Frank Polumbi Band, as well as a variety of international foods. In addition, there will be lots of other fun family-friendly activities. There will probably also be vendors selling items related to polka music and food.

People come from all over the area, including nearby McMurray, to enjoy this annual event. No doubt local printing companies will be helping the organizers prepare for the day by offering banner printing, flyer printing, and other print services. Banners can help to let everyone know what is going on and to help recognize any sponsors of the event. Flyers can be used to remind those in the area about the upcoming event or to explain to visitors what it is. Flyers are very inexpensive to create and have been proven to be one of the most effective ways of advertising an upcoming event or sale.

Canonsburg is also the home of the Pennsylvania Bavarian Oktoberfest. This event, which takes place in September, features several stages, vendors, and food concessions.

For those who love polka music, this will be a great way to spend an August afternoon and evening. No doubt there will be lots of dancing and even those who know little about the music will find lots of activities to satisfy them at Polkafest.
