Community Day to return to McMurray this June
May 30, 2013 by Sarah
The Peters Township Community Day festival is coming back to McMurray for a 35th year. It is a presentation of the Parks and Recreation Department and the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce.
There will be plenty of activities for the entire family to take part in at the festival. There will be musical and other entertainment, food concessions, prize raffles, children’s activities, and commercial vendors, as well as a fireworks display to top it all off.
Artists and crafters will be selling unique, handmade items, such as jewelry, works of art, pottery, woodwork, and even clothing. Commercial vendors will also be available to showcase their latest products and services. Shoppers will likely find something they will not see anywhere else which might make a good gift for a friend or family members, or an item that will fit nicely into their own living room.
Vendors and artisans who wish to take part in the events will likely invest in services like postcard printing or banner printing to prepare. They might want to use a banner to draw more attention to their booth or hand out postcards to those who stop by. Artists often use postcards as business cards with contact information on the back and a sample of their work on the front.
The event will take place at Peterswood Park on June 29 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm and is free to attend. The fireworks display will be held at 9:30 pm.
