Canonsberg gets Christmassy
November 29, 2012 by Mark
Many communities around Pennsylvania are holding day-long or even month-long Christmas celebrations. This includes the city of Canonsburg, which will be celebrating with an old-fashioned Christmas this Saturday, December 1.
There will be plenty of activities and events and everyone is sure to find something to do that they enjoy. The Christmas Craft and Vendor Fair will take place at the St. Patrick Parish from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, where visitors are sure to find some gifts that will be appropriate for their loved ones and friends. There will be a Santa luncheon at the Frank Sarris Public Library from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, for which tickets are $5 and there will be three separate sittings. All those who attend will receive a goodie bag and a photograph with Santa. There will also be a kids’ Christmas craft making workshop at the Public Library from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
These are fun activities for the entire family and opportunities to buy some Christmas gifts as the big day approaches. A few residents of many communities in the state, including McMurray, will no doubt travel around to visit many of those celebrations. Local printing companies can help by helping design and print flyers that can be distributed throughout the state.
Other events taking place on December 1 will include hay rides beginning in front of the bank, Canonsburg Fire Department tours, free hot chocolate, train rides from the Borough building, and a performance by the Middle School Chorus at noon at the Frank Sarris Public Library.
