Malvern family fun to come in two different guises

June 28, 2013 by

This July, there will be two notable family-friendly events taking place in the streets of downtown Malvern. Both promise to have much to offer every member of the family, no matter what their age or interest.

The Chescho-Grand Prix will be visiting the city for one leg of the bicycle race. The Chesco Malvern Criterium will feature three bicycle races; amateur, elite women, and professional men. In addition, there will be celebrity appearances, live music, youth races, and a children’s area. The event will also be covered live over local radio.

The Criterium is a presentation of the Malvern Business and Professional Association and all monies raised during the evening will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Straight after that, the Malvern Fire Company’s annual fair will be taking place for five days in July and will feature carnival rides, bingo games, entertainment, food, and fire-truck rides. There will also be a fireworks display on the Friday night, beginning at approximately 9:30 pm. The fair is to act as a fundraising event for the fire company.

The organizers of both of these Malvern events will likely be working with local printing companies to provide informative flyers to distribute throughout the community.

The Chesco Malvern Criterium will take place on July 8 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. For more information, call 610-383-9700.

The Malvern Fire Company fair will take place at the Monument Grounds from July 9-13 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm each day. Call 610-647-0693 for more information.
