Free enterprise to be recognized in Malvern
December 22, 2012 by Mark
It is the dream of many people to start their own small business and to make it a success, and it is important that those who own successful businesses are recognized by the greater business community. That recognition sometimes comes in the form of awards such as those handed out at the yearly Small Business Dinner, presented by the Chester County Chamber of Commerce.
The ‘Small Business Dinner: a Salute to Free Enterprise’ will be a chance for those small businesses who have succeeded greatly in the past year to be recognized by their peers. Two awards will be given out during the evening – the Small Business of the Year award goes to a company that has taken risks and succeeded, while the Green Business award is awarded to a company dedicated to environmental sustainability.
There will also be time to do some networking over dinner. There is no doubt that many business leaders from the area surrounding Malvern will plan to attend the dinner and many will likely be arranging for business card printing in advance, with some digital business cards likely to be on show.
As has often been said, small business owners really are the backbone of the economy and provide most of the jobs in many areas. The dinner to acknowledge this will take place at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center on January 24 from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm. Tickets are $90 for Chamber members or $110 for non-members.
