Celebrate an old-fashioned Christmas in Malvern
November 23, 2012 by Mark
The Malvern Business and Professional Association is presenting a Victorian Christmas from December 7 – 8. Events will be taking place in various venues throughout the city on both days. It will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event sure to offer something to every member of the family.
Organizers of the event are most likely working with Malvern printing companies to get the word out about the various events taking place on both days. A flyer would be one of the best ways to spread the word, since they can be distributed in so many different ways and have been proven to be one of the most effective types of marketing campaigns.
Various events taking place throughout Malvern will include the tree lighting with Harry Hairston on December 7 at 6:00 pm, various musical performances, puppet shows, face painting, open houses, a train display, hands-on craft making, carriage rides, hayrides, pony rides, and gingerbread house making lessons. Santa and Mrs Claus will be available for photographs and donations will be gratefully accepted for the food bank.
A range of arts and crafts vendors will be selling items such as toys, knitted scarves and mittens, doll clothes, handmade ornaments, and specialty foods. Authors Chrysa Smith and Maggie Mitchell will also be signing copies of their books.
Santa’s Workshop will give people a chance to pick up some Christmas gifts for their friends and family. It will be held on December 7 at the St. Patrick School from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm.
