The Bridal Experience and Charity Wedding Gown Sale is taking place at The Fez Banquet and Wedding Venue in Pittsburgh on January 8, 2012 from 12-4 pm. All of the gowns have been donated by bridal salons and manufacturers; 50% of all proceeds will go to Project Pink.

Project Pink’s mission is to:

“make an immediate and real difference in the lives of the women and families impacted by breast cancer.”

They offer advice to young women about breast cancer, they provide scholarships for children who have lost a parent to the disease and they grant the wishes of those with Stage IV breast cancer through Project Joy.

There will be over 500 gowns available at the Bridal Experience and Charity Wedding Gown Sale with sizes from 2-40, as well as accessories such as veils and they will be discounted from 50-80%. Those from cities throughout the area, including Lower Burrell and who are getting married next year, looking for a wedding gown and not having a lot of money to spend will be making their way to Pittsburgh on January 8.

Project Pink’s Grab the Girls program offers advice on breast self-examination. To help they have provided a self breast exam shower card which is the size of a postcard. Printing this out and posting it on the wall beside the shower will remind you to check your breasts.

If you are in the market for a wedding gown, why not plan to visit the show? You will not only possibly find the wedding gown of your dreams for an incredible price, you will be helping prevent many cases of breast cancer and will be helping those who are battling this disease to have a better life.
