Winter Festival comes to Toys for Tots’ aid

November 27, 2013 by

Taking place in Kimberton in just a couple of weeks, the 2013 Winter Festival is to be a collection event for the U.S. Marine Corps ‘Toys for Tots’ program.

Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for entry. If they do, they will be entered into a draw for an iPad Mini, and will receive another draw ticket for each toy they donate.

There will be plenty of fun activities for the kids at the festival. They can “Blast a Trooper” with Nerf guns, or pose with their favorite Star Wars characters, since the Star Wars Droid Builders will also be there. In addition, there will be face painting, balloon art, arts and crafts, and pizza. For the parents, offerings will include chair massages and silent auctions.

More than 50 vendors will be selling a variety of items, such as comic books, purses and luggage, jewelry, and toys. This might be a good opportunity for people to find some last minute holiday presents, while giving vendors, especially those in business for themselves, a chance to promote themselves in the community.

Young Star Wars fans from all over the area, including Lansdale, will likely want to attend this fun event. Organizers might therefore want to market the event widely through flyers purchased from local printing companies.

The Winter Festival is taking place at Kimberton Fairgrounds on December 14 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. For more information about it, call 215-0948-2166.
