Have a fun night at the Winter Beach Blast

January 31, 2012 by

The Winter Beach Blast will take place at Village Caterers on February 24 from 7-9 pm. Tickets are $30 and include “sandwiches, suds and sounds of summer”.

The Mango Men will provide the music; there will be hot roast beef and meatball sandwiches, beer and salads. A silent auction will raise money for the Manna on Main Street soup kitchen and food bank and the PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce Scholarship fund. The scholarship fund provides $500 to each of several graduating students who are seeking a degree in business.

Donations from local businesses are welcomed for the silent auction. Donating goods will bring your company notice and positive publicity. People appreciate when a company they do business with cares about the community in which they live and are more likely to want to deal with them in the future. Companies in Lansdale who donate goods could arrange for flyer printing services and send out a flyer to their customers informing them about the charitable event, therefore donating much more than just a product but also bringing in people to bid on those items. Sponsorships are also available for $50 to $1000.

With the Christmas holidays in the past and everyone facing a long winter, February can seem very long even though it is the shortest month of the year. Community events such as the Winter Beach Blast help to raise the spirits of the community and raise much needed funds for worthy charities.
