Businesswomen in Blue Bell networking bonanza
August 30, 2012 by Mark
The PennSuburban Chamber of Commerce is presenting a women’s networking luncheon at Cedarbrook Country Club in Blue Bell on September 19 from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Tickets are $35 for chamber members and $38 for non-members.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. Karen A. Stout, president of the Montgomery County Community College. There will be the chance for those attending to network before lunch and the start of the planned program. Dr. Stout will be discussing “the deliberate practice of professional development”, touching upon how important professional development is to success in any business and that it must be taken as seriously as any other business decisions. Most industries are constantly changing and all businesspeople must keep up with those changes, often through courses and workshops. This is because clients and customers expect the very latest in techniques and products or they might be tempted to choose another company to give them what they require.
Businesswomen from all over Montgomery County, including those from nearby Lansdale, will no doubt be drawn to this networking luncheon. Those who do attend are likely to be arranging for a new business card printing order in advance. They will want to know that their cards are current and that they have enough to exchange with anyone who wants one. They might also want to practice their 30-60 second ‘elevator speech’, which should give a brief background on a company and on the person delivering it, much like a commercial.
