Autumnal events breeze in
September 19, 2012 by Mark
There will be several events taking place throughout Mercer County in late September and early October which celebrate all that fall has to offer. Families from all over the county, no doubt including Hermitage, will be looking forward to celebrating at these various festivals. Local printing companies might be providing services such as flyer printing and banner printing to the organizers of these events to help get the word out to the community.
The Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest will take place at the Irons Mill Farmstead in New Wilmington on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from September 22 – October 28 from 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm. The grand opening will take place on September 28 and the fest will feature hayrides, pumpkins, food concessions, a giant jumping pillow, slides, and pony rides. For more information on this, call 724-992-9343.
In a few weeks, The Fall Harvest Festival and Craft Fair will take place at the Apple Castle in New Wilmington on October 13 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. It will feature arts and crafts for sale, entertainment, food, hayrides, apple and pumpkin picking, and fresh cider. 724-652-3221 is the number to call for more info here.
Also on October 13, as well as the following day, The Autumn Pumpkin Festival will take place in downtown Volant from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. There will be a harvest market, hayrides, pumpkin decorating, apple butter making, and a chili cook off. More info on this can be found by calling 724-533-5611.
All of these festivals seem like a great way to welcome fall and to celebrate all the good things that come with it, like apples and pumpkins.
